This morning governor Doug Ducey announced that all Arizona school will remain closed for the rest of the school year in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19. While this is not the way any of us hoped 6th grade would end, our work and time together is far from over.
1- We will be hosting a Zoom meeting for 6th grade students (and any parents who would like to join) on Wednesday, April 1st, 2020 at 10:00 am. During this time, Mr. J. and Mr. Sepe will provide an opportunity for 6th graders to connect with their peers and answer questions about what the rest of the year will look like. 2- Over the past weeks of the closure, we have offered optional supplement resources to keep students working on important skills. We will be offering more structured academic content through google classroom beginning Monday, April 6th, 2020. This is a developing situation that we will work together to figure out. We recognize that the extension of the school closure might be unsettling for your child, and we will do everything we can to ensure his/her emotional, physical, and academic well-being during this time, using our remote learning platform. Stay safe, stay connected, and please reach out if you have any questions. |
